Hi!

My name is Amy Peach. I am an MGeol geology graduate and a volunteer for The Queen Elizabeth Parks Project.

I live in the UK and I love the outdoors and all things to do with the Earth. I’m always searching for my next adventure. I am passionate about all things volcanoes and am searching for PhD opportunities in volcanology. I am currently volunteering at Colima Intercambio e Investigación en Vulcanología (CIIV) in Mexico.

I volunteer with the Queen Elizabeth Parks Project, which twins QE National Park in Uganda with QE Country Park in the UK. In 2013 I was lucky enough to visit Uganda and I returned in 2015 as part of a team facilitating a customer care and environmental interpretation course for rangers . I returned again in 2017 to begin the ground work for the project’s new initiative ‘Geomission Uganda’. I am working to develop this Earth science themed project, promoting geotourism to enable tourists and school children to connect with the fascinating world beneath their feet. Please check out Geomission Uganda for more information.

My posts are usually on volcano/earth science/university life topics as well as my experiences with the QE Parks Twinning Project. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures!

Thank you for reading my blog!
