Mexico Week 9 – Another Quiet Week

I can’t believe that I have now been in Mexico for over two months!

This week has been a very quiet week, so this week’s post is going to be short and sweet!  We did another overnight fieldtrip to Montegrande to collect more PDC samples – we finished collecting all of the samples we needed from Lower Montegrande. We camped closed to the barranca, setting the tent up at dusk. I woke up to a nice surprise – a perfect view of the volcano!

The rest of the week was spent catching up with work, and starting my applications for jobs and postgrad study. We spent Sunday at the pool, enjoying a bit or R&R before we start planning for a busy few weeks of fieldwork.
